surprise!
No excuse that things take me so long. I'm busy and I'm not busy. I work for awhile and then sit for awhile.. I still play at the nursing home twice a month. Some people sing along with me and some tell me to quit. My neighbor and I had another good garden this year. Without out her their wouldn't be much of a garden. So both of us benefit from it. I did a lot of canning. Different salsas[ which I could do without], but I have family that love it. They get what ever I come up with. I planted some hot peppers. They did pretty good. Every ones gardens were late because of a late spring. Loved seeing so many at our family reunion. Next year I'll be able to do more visiting, because I'm not in charged or anything.

He's baaaack
Hello Family! Colin is back in town on break. We had a busy few days while he was in Atlanta. He left Tuesday to head to California for a week, then I pick him up before Thanksgiving.
He came in town Wednesday afternoon and surprised mom at her office. Thursday night we went to see one of our favorite bands peform in Athens. Next to him is my ex-boyfriend (it's been about 7 years), we remained good friends. So, I hung out with my ex-boyfriend, little brother, MY boyfriend and HIS brother. Odd group I must say!

Oh look here.....I just happened to have invited my very cute, very single fun girlfriend that same evening! Colin and her hit it off...just like I planned. moo-wa-haha!
A couple days later we drove to Auburn, AL to tailgate and watch football. College football is big in the South, something I have just never gotten into. But I go for the food. It was SO cold...I had all my coats on by 3:00 that afternoon.
You can see it didn't take long before my little brother was getting on my nerves.
I don't think I have ever sent/posted a picture of my boyfriend Mark....so here he is. ta-da! Not the greatest picture, but at least he is smiling, usually he is making a goofy face.

My Personal Chef

My oldest daughter is taking a class right now that teaches the kids different skills and job options. This class has three parts. The first part she learned sewing, designing and cooking. On Monday she switches to a different teacher and will learn different medical job options. Then finally at the end of the year she will switch and learn about computers and business. It has been a great experience and she really enjoys that class.
So tonight she made dinner with her two little chef helpers.
They made personal pizzas, fruit salad and a peanut dessert. Yummy.
I remember pretending to be a chef when I was younger. My sister and I would create something in the kitchen and then make my mom eat it. Mom, did you always enjoy our creations?

Daan Park

I just recently returned from Taiwan. I really enjoy Taiwan. They have a park that is about a mile from my hotel that I like to run to in the mornings. It is about a mile around. So after running there, then a couple of times around the park, then run/walk back, turns out to be a great run. This last trip I decided to walk through the park on a Sunday. The park was full of people trying to relax. There were elderly groups doing Tai Chi, others were just sitting under a tree, talking. I really can't remember the last time I sat under a tree and just talked, (Blackberry in hand, doesn’t count).
I pride myself in keeping myself and my family busy. If we are busy then we are taking advantage of an opportunity and not watching SpongeBob. What I didn't realize is that I was not getting a chance to enjoy it or like they use to say stop and smell the roses. I am so thankful for this park in Taiwan that taught me how to stop and smell the roses. I spent a few hours just sitting at this park watching everyone. I am also thankful that I don't have to go to a park in the middle of a city with 3 million people to find trees. I am also thankful the past years that I have had the opportunity to see many new countries and meet new people. I miss my family a lot, but I am thankful for a husband that hugs my kids twice as much when I am gone and supports me.

Hello! A couple of months ago I asked ya'll for some names for my "business idea" of creating Memory Albums. Thank you everybody for the wonderful suggestions. I ended up mixing 2 suggestions from co-workers. To the left is my OFFICIAL logo for 'Kaleidoscope Memories by Kelli' (I still have to check my spelling for Kaleidoscope).
Other then working on building a portfolio, I have been keeping busy...not sure with what now that I think of it! I had my tonsils removed September 26th. ugh! It wasn't as painful as I had been told (especially for an adult), but the recovery has been much longer then I expected. I'm still not drinking as much as I should due to the slight pain, but it's much better then last week. I did loose about 4 pounds, so there is a bright side :)
In November I have my 15 year high school reunion, ouch! I haven't been back to Tampa in a few years, so it will be fun to catch up with some friends. Hope everybody is doing well! I have enjoyed looking at everybody's blogs and see what's going on! I feel so nosey....but that is the point of blogs, right?! ~ Kelli
