I enjoyed reading what Deon and Rachael did in April and May... so I thought I'd post our family month too.

May was the last month of school for our kids. Isaac graduated from sixth grade and will be entering Jr. High this Fall. He only aloud me to buy him a tie and shirt for his graduation because he read all four Artemis Fowl books in May and Artemis wears a tie.

Adara graduated from High School and will be going to the U of U in the Anthropology Dept this Fall. She went to senior prom (picture) in May and was sad to say "good-bye" to tons of friends who are going their separate ways. Two guys have already asked her out this Summer, but that is nothing compared to the Egyptian men who ogled her exotic white skin, blazing short red hair and pale green eyes.

Before taking Adara on her graduation trip to Egypt, we took the family to Park City for a week vacation (Spring Break). It was fun to swim outside AND go snowmobiling all in the same week.

The whole fam-damily, snowmobiling
Then we went to Egypt for two weeks. I'm starting our own family blog, and I'll go into more detail there... but in short, we did a seven day cruise on the Nile, stopping to see every major ancient monument along the way and spent another week staying in a five star hotel touring pyramids, mosques, temples, tombs, etc. We paid for our own person guide who had a Master's in Egyptology and was Egyptian (speaking fluent English). His name was Ache, and he really took care of us on the cruise and in Cairo. We always had transportation, armed escorts, or whatever we needed. More photos and our video will be posted elsewhere and I'll give you the link.

Wow! What a May! Lots of fun family time in the snow, water, and sand. Congratulations Adara and Isaac.
When you were kids, did you ever think you'd see Egypt?
What a great graduation trip. I'm so jealous. Egypt looks beautiful in a very sandy and dry sort of a way. I love the pictures with the camels. I'm sure the trip was full of memories that will last a life time, and you all look very chic with your fashionable sunglasses and cute clothes.
That looks like an awesome adventure; I'm glad you all had such a great time!
That looks like so much fun. Can't wait to see more.
What an awesome trip to Egypt! I am so excited to see more of the trip.
