Colin is always hard to buy gifts for, so I was impressed with myself when I thought of a cool gift for the big 3-0 birthday. If you have a diving certification, you can swim in one of the tanks at the Geogia Aquarium. They have 4 whale sharks, 2 large manta rays, other small sharks and tons of fish. I believe it's the largest tank in the world (?) - http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/exploreTheAquarium/oceanVoyager.aspx. So, the day after Thanksgiving, we headed downtown, walked around Centinnial Park, and Colin went diving!

That is a cool gift, I would be afraid of the sharks though. On top of the thrill of diving in the tank, how was it being stared at the whole time by the people on dry land? And can you tell where the glass wall is from that side?
I am not so sure I would like that priviledge. But I do have few people I would encourage to swim with sharks: man eating sharks.
