Hello Everybody,
Instead of boring you with 600 pictures of my trip to Peru I thought I would send out a few of my favorite. Of course, when I tried to select just a few, it just didn't seem to really capture the whole week. So, I have created a slidehow presentation for your viewing pleasure.
The slideshow is 3 minutes and 38 seconds....you may want to use the pause button to read the 'educational notes' I added :) Also, 'Full Size' is much more impressive. Enjoy

P.S. Hair Update
Hello Family!
I'll catch you up on our family for the year... since we hardly correspond with anyone. *shame*David and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this past year by spending most of August visiting the Greek islands, Mykonos, Rhodes, Delos, as well as Athens, the island of Cyprus, Turkey, and Egypt. It was an enlightening and beautiful trip with rich food, wine, culture and magnificently diverse people.
Adara, Isaac and Elijah held down the fort the entire time their parents were gone. They cleaned, washed laundry, cooked meals, went to the movies several times, spent a fortune on Cold Stone ice cream and basically had a huge party for the last few weeks of summer with no parents in the way.
Adara 18 now and is probably the busiest of us all. She is the Editor in Chief of her school newspaper again this year. She is on the Drama Council (historian), a lead technician for the school, Stage Manager for Don’t Drink the Water, school photographer, and played a lead in Once on this Island. She competed in the Utah Shakespearean Festival H.S. competition, just got back from New York with a troupe on Broadway, is writing and publishing a novel, taking all AP and Honors classes, and still managing to get 4.0 in her classes. Adara will be going to college next year at the U of U in Anthropology and then she hopes to go to Brown University to pursue her Ph.D. in Archaeology. She has changed the written form of her name to LaTour.
Dave has started his own investment company and has been making a lot of big decisions lately. He continues to work as a V.P. over a group of stock-analysis software engineers at Neovest (a division of JP Morgan). He bought a fabulous tuxedo for the anniversary trip, and I think he looks amazing in it.
I ran the Portland Marathon on October 7th. I made it all 26.2 miles, as did my aunt who ran it with me. I'm now at the University of Utah pursuing a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience Research with cross-studies in Psychoneuroimmunology and I love it. Next autumn Adara and I will be driving to school together. Yay!… And that sums up our past year, leaving out most mundane things. Dave and I are taking Adara to Egypt in four weeks to celebrate her graduation. We'll be doing a cruise down the Nile and other sight-seeing for two weeks.

The Three Little Pigs
The other night I was going around the house checking everyone’s alarm clock because spring break was over and we needed to be up the next day. My youngest yelled and asked if I could tell her a story. Since my son was following me around I thought this would be a great opportunity for him to tell her a story. He decided to tell his version of the three little pigs. I wish I would have recorded it because this story had detail. The pigs were well dressed; they lived in beautiful surroundings, on hill tops through beautiful mountains and meadows. As he described the first pig’s house being blown down, the pig had to run to his “brother’s” house. This made me smile because I never thought of the “3 pigs” being brothers. Then the two brothers worked together, but also that house was blown down. Finally, the two brothers had to…….this is the best part……had to run to their “sister’s” house. I looked at him and smiled. I had never heard of the pigs being siblings, nor was that the pig with the brick house a girl. :) He continues telling the story and the 3 siblings worked together to get rid of the big bad wolf. “The wolf tried to enter the house through the chimney and was met by a fire in the fireplace. As he was running through the town to find a bucket of water, he couldn’t because the sister lived in the desert.” Now I was really smiling….the pig with the brick house is a girl and she lives somewhere warm……a women after my own heart. :) He did such a great job telling the story I can’t wait for his next story.

Taiwan trip
My last trip was to Taiwan. This is the first time I have visited Taiwan and loved it. Taiwan is right up there next to Korea of my favorite places to visit. The great people, buildings, food, shopping...it has it all.
After dinner one night our Taiwan employee took us to see our “big church”. The temple in Taiwan was really cool to see in the center of town. It is about 2 blocks from the big Buddhist temple grounds. We were able to visit both and it was such a great opportunity to see so much of the culture.
One of the office buildings is on the 30th floor in a building that looks out at the World’s tallest building, just until the building in Burj Dubai is finished then it won't be the tallest anymore. What an incredible city to visit. This isn't the best picture because of the rain and it was at night. This is the Taipei 101.
The food in Taiwan was very good, except for the cagulated blood soup. During one dinner they were trying to see which one of us could pick up the most peanuts with the chopsticks.
Look at me with two peanuts, man, I am good. I think they like to see us trying so hard.

April Showers???

This week at work we are allowed to wear flip flops and shorts because the owners and distributors are on there annual Bahamas’ week. Pulling out the winter coats this morning didn't really get me in the "Bahamas, short wearing" mood.
The positive to all of this would be that we won't get the spring runoff as fast and maybe avoid flooding. However, I am on high ground....so give me my spring!!! J
