swimming in the ATL

Colin is always hard to buy gifts for, so I was impressed with myself when I thought of a cool gift for the big 3-0 birthday. If you have a diving certification, you can swim in one of the tanks at the Geogia Aquarium. They have 4 whale sharks, 2 large manta rays, other small sharks and tons of fish. I believe it's the largest tank in the world (?) - http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/exploreTheAquarium/oceanVoyager.aspx. So, the day after Thanksgiving, we headed downtown, walked around Centinnial Park, and Colin went diving!

Cruise 2009

We took the kids on a cruise for Fall break. It was so much fun and the kids enjoyed everything. They picked out their own clothes for the formal dinner. They looked so cute.
We went to Catalina Island, Ensenada Mexico and then spent a day in San Diego.

Engaged

David got engaged on his recent trip to the Dominican Republic. Her name is Johanni Magdalena Made Saldivar. Now we just have to wait for David to get her into the country for a wedding. We are hoping for next Spring.

Fall

Hi

Rachael is teaching me how to add a letter to the blog. I wanted to show you some of our creations for the fall in Malad. We only had one pumpkin that would grow so Dan put it up in our bush. It kept getting bigger and bigger.
We had a scarcrow festival here in town and Dan created a scacrow. It was my idea and Dan took it from there.

San Fran

Colin and I had a great time in San Fran with some of my friends. He finished his first marathon in 4:14 minutes.....pretty impressive considering he only ran 13 miles at the most during training!

And this past Friday somebody broke into my car :( I thought they had stolen my GPS, but all they took was a dollar in change and Mark's iPod. I was up at 5am leaving for bootcamp when I saw it, so that made me the most nervous that I was out in the dark. But all is well, unfortunatley that is what happens when you live in town!

Locks of Love

Alice chose to donate her hair to Lock of Love. She has been growing her hair out for a while now. She was pretty excited to finally be able to have her hair long enough.

Doesn't she look so cute?

Montana 2009

4 tickets to the Gates of the Mountains... $36. Pedal boats....$6. Seeing my kids so excited about our trip to Montana.....priceless.

Mom (grandma the great), Luke, Chlorine and I took a road trip to Montana. The kids were so excited about everything they saw. They wanted to see everything "where mom was a little kid."

We played at parks, swam in the pools and lakes, went hiking and mainly just drove around looking at everything.
Thanks to my brother and his family, we had the best pork chops and salad in the world!!! Fresh lettuce and broccoli from the garden. Yummmy!!

Chlorine asked, "if they had technology when I was a kid." She is such a hoot.
We went up to hear Alice sing with the choir, that is touring through Montana to Canada. They did such a great job. I was very proud of her and I wish I could see all of the concerts they will be performing. However, I am glad I don't have to travel on the 4 buses.

Here is a picture of the 4 buses that is taking 180 youth to Canada and back.

Here are some pictures from our trip.
